    Process for Forgotten Items

LUNCHES- Ideally it is best to send your student's lunch with them in the morning.  However, we understand that some lunches are forgotten.  The new procedure is for you sign in as visitor in the office, then take your student's lunch into the MPR  stage stairs put it on the floor and write students name and teacher on the whiteboard. Lunch duty knows to instruct the students to take a look but please communicate to your student that if they forget their lunch, to check the area in the MPR. Please make sure your student's name is on the lunch box or bag!

INSTRUMENTS- Same procedure as lunches, see above

HOMEWORK- We do not disturb class to notify students of forgotten homework

WATER BOTTLES- If needed for lunch use lunch procedure.

Notes from district nurses Posted 11/4/18

We strive to create a healthy learning environment for our students, and therefore, it is important not to send your child to school if they are sick.  If your child is experiencing a cold, congestion, upset stomach, fever or just not feeling well (even if they are not running a fever), please keep them at home.

In alliance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), if your child has had a fever, please keep your child home for at least 24 hours after the fever has gone. The fever should be gone without the use of fever reducing medicine (i.e. Advil, Ibuprofen, Tylenol).

The presence of other symptoms, to a significant degree, warrants keeping your child home.

    • Eyes that are red, swollen, crusting, and/or draining
    • Nausea/Vomiting – If your child has vomited the night before or in the morning, do not send your student to school.
    • A student who vomits at school will be required to go home.
    • Severe sore throat
    • Skin rashes of unknown origin or contagious rash and may require a return to school clearance from a health care provider.

If your child needs medication at school, be sure to bring in the forms completed by the doctor and the medication before the first day of school.  Students are not allowed to carry medication on them and no medication can be administered by school staff without proper documentation signed by the parent and doctor.  Forms can be found here.
